A CT scan naming computed tomography based on computer-processed combinations of many X-ray measurements from different angles to produce cross-sectional tomographic images with virtual slices of specific areas of scanned object .It allows the user to see inside the object without cutting. Other terms include computed axial tomography scan and computer aided tomography.
It is used to refer to X-ray CT basically it is the most commonly using now a days.Types of CTS positron emission tomography (PET) and single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT). X-ray tomography, a predecessor of CT, is one form of radiography, along with many other forms of tomographic and non-tomographic radiography.
